About Me

Hi! My name is Mimi, and I’m glad you found my Grossly Abundant Life! Find out a little more about this blog here.

I’m a Midwesterner with a lot on my plate: wife to Jay; mother of two ornery boys, Little Man and Little Dude; homemaker; part-time employee; small-scale homesteader; and sister, daughter, granddaughter. I love the beauty of nature, really good home cooked food, good deals, time spent with family, things created from scratch, and making a difference in someone’s life.

My wonderful husband encouraged me to add one more thing to my to-do list by starting this blog, and after mulling it over for awhile I decided, “what the heck, I’ll give it a try.” I love writing and don’t do much of it anymore so this will remedy that situation! And it’s fun to read other blogs because everyone has something to say about what they enjoy and are passionate about, so why not join them?

I have a lot of different interests, and I like to learn new things and expand my mind and knowledge. And I like sharing awesome ideas, tips, tricks, hacks, and lessons I pick up throughout life. So if you’re looking for ideas about self-sufficiency, alternative living, natural health, do-it-yourself, frugality, parenting, marriage, cooking, and life in general, you’re in the right place!

Follow me to get a little inspiration on everything in life.

Thanks for stopping by!
